Terms of service
Welcome to the official website of Casa Minimal, a provider of high-end custom furniture. These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as the "Terms") outline the rights, obligations, and service rules governing transactions between this website and all customers who place orders (hereinafter referred to as "Customer" or "You"). By browsing, inquiring about, or purchasing custom furniture products on this site, you acknowledge that you have fully read, understood, and voluntarily accepted these Terms in their entirety without objection. These Terms apply to the entire service process—including transaction, production, logistics, and after-sales support—for all custom furniture products on this site and carry final legal force.
I. Product Characteristics and Customization Service Details
1. All products on this site are high-end, bespoke furniture items made-to-order; there is no ready-made stock, and standard off-the-shelf models are not available for immediate shipment. Each product is individually designed, cut, and manufactured based on the customer's specific requirements—including dimensions, materials, colors, craftsmanship, and structural details—distinguishing them from standardized, mass-produced furniture.
2. Customers are responsible for confirming customization parameters, including but not limited to spatial dimensions, floor plan layout, material selection, color codes, craftsmanship details, and installation requirements. Our customer service team provides professional consultation and design references, but the final customization plan is determined solely by the customer's signed confirmation or online confirmation screenshot.
3. If a customer requests changes to core elements—such as the design plan, dimensions, materials, or craftsmanship—during the customization process, they must notify us promptly. The customer bears full responsibility for any resulting production delays, material waste, or price differences; we assume no liability for free modifications or delays caused by such changes.
4. All custom products are exclusive, bespoke items that are unique and non-interchangeable; therefore, standard e-commerce policies regarding "no-reason" returns or exchanges do not apply.
II. Order Confirmation and Payment Rules (High-Value Order Policy)
1. Order Activation: An order becomes effective only after the customer submits the order, pays the initial installment, and provides final confirmation of the customization plan. Upon activation, we initiate raw material procurement, factory scheduling, and the manufacturing process. We reserve the right to cancel or adjust the production schedule for orders that remain unpaid or unconfirmed.
2. Payment Model: Due to the high unit price and production costs associated with these custom products, we require full payment upfront to secure raw materials and reserve production capacity.
3. Payments are non-refundable once the order has become effective. As the payment has already been allocated to fixed costs—such as raw material procurement, factory production scheduling, and design/pattern making—we are not required to refund the payment if the client unilaterally cancels the order, abandons it midway, or terminates the partnership without cause; we also reserve the right to seek compensation for any subsequent losses.
4. Once the order amount and customization plan have been confirmed by both parties, and provided there are no errors in craftsmanship or material discrepancies on our part, we will not accept requests for price renegotiation, amount reductions, or retroactive discounts.
III. Production Cycle and Shipping Timeline
1. The production process for high-end custom furniture is complex, involving multiple stages such as finalizing designs, procuring raw materials, precision machining, sanding and finishing, quality inspection, and packaging. The standard production cycle is 5–10 weeks; however, for products requiring rare materials, complex craftsmanship, or oversized dimensions, the cycle extends to 10–15 weeks. The specific timeline communicated at the time of order confirmation shall prevail.
2. Shipment is contingent upon the completion of production; the shipping process will not commence until the final balance is settled, and the client shall bear full responsibility for any delays resulting from non-payment.
3. We will schedule production and delivery in strict accordance with the agreed timeline and fulfill our obligations on schedule under normal circumstances. The following situations constitute reasonable delays for which we shall not be held liable for breach of contract or compensation: (1) delays caused by the client modifying the customization plan or adding requirements midway; (2) shortages of rare raw materials or customs clearance delays for imported materials; (3) force majeure events (natural disasters, epidemics, logistics suspensions, factory maintenance, etc.); (4) failure by the client to confirm plans or make payments in a timely manner.
4. During production, we will provide regular updates on progress, and clients may inquire about the order status at any time. Barring exceptional circumstances, we do not accept frequent demands to expedite orders or unreasonable requests for rush production; expedited production requires an additional service fee, to be agreed upon separately by both parties.
IV. Logistics, Delivery, and Receipt Rules
1. The custom furniture sold here consists of large, high-value items. We utilize premium, dedicated "white-glove" delivery services by default. Unlike standard courier services, this involves dedicated vehicle transport and reinforced, shock-proof packaging to ensure the product remains in pristine condition. 2. Logistics Timelines: Domestic delivery takes 3–10 business days after shipment. International delivery takes 15–45 business days, depending on destination customs clearance; delays due to customs inspections or clearance processing are considered normal logistics risks, and we assume no liability for such delays.
3. Logistics, Customs Duties, and Clearance Fees: Delivery fees are determined by the rates shown at checkout or as mutually agreed upon. The customer is solely responsible for all additional costs associated with international orders, including customs duties, value-added tax (VAT), and customs clearance handling fees.
4. Inspection Upon Receipt: For large furniture items, the customer must open the package and inspect the product's appearance, structure, and integrity on-site, verifying that the goods match the custom specifications. If damage, missing items, or incorrect shipments are discovered on-site, the customer must take photos as evidence and contact our customer service immediately for prompt verification and resolution. If the customer fails to inspect the goods on-site and signs for delivery, we will not provide compensation or free after-sales service for issues raised later—such as surface scuffs, minor dents, or missing accessories—unless valid evidence is provided.
5. Refusal of Delivery: If a customer refuses delivery or signature for an order without valid cause, the customer shall bear all round-trip shipping costs, product depreciation/loss fees, and secondary warehousing fees; the payment for the goods will not be refunded.
V. Return, Exchange, and Order Cancellation Policy (Core Rules for Custom Orders)
1. No "No-Reason" Returns/Exchanges: All products on this site are exclusively personalized custom items. In accordance with e-commerce transaction rules and industry standards for custom products, we do not support "no-reason" returns, exchanges, or order cancellations; placing an order constitutes the customer's acceptance of these rules.
2. Eligible After-Sales Claims: Claims are accepted only for issues attributable to us, including: (1) Significant discrepancies where production did not adhere to the dimensions, materials, colors, or craftsmanship confirmed by the customer; (2) Structural defects or quality issues present upon leaving the factory, as verified by our professionals. For products meeting claim criteria, we will provide free repairs, remanufacture the item, or negotiate a refund; we do not assume liability for indirect losses incurred by the customer (such as renovation delays, moving expenses, etc.). 3. Circumstances ineligible for returns, exchanges, or claims: (1) Product installation failure or size mismatch caused by the customer providing incorrect dimensions, floor plan details, or requirements; (2) Defects or dimensional deviations resulting from the customer modifying the design plan mid-process; (3) Damage occurring after receipt due to accidental impact, wear and tear, unauthorized disassembly/reassembly, improper use, or exposure to dampness or direct sunlight; (4) Natural grain patterns, natural wood color variations, or slight marks from manual craftsmanship (these do not constitute quality defects); (5) Issues reported beyond the designated after-sales feedback period.
4. If, after production is completed, the customer unilaterally abandons the order, refuses delivery, or requests a refund, we reserve the right to deduct the full deposit and any incurred production costs; the remaining balance will not be refunded.
VI. Product Warranty and After-Sales Service
1. Our high-end custom furniture comes with a lifetime warranty on structural integrity and a 2-year warranty on overall craftsmanship. During the warranty period, we provide free repair or parts replacement for quality issues not caused by human error—such as structural cracking, delamination, breakage, or hardware failure. Natural wood aging, wear from normal use, and minor surface scratches are not covered by the free warranty.
2. For after-sales repairs or on-site services, the customer is responsible for all round-trip logistics costs and on-site labor fees if the issue is not due to a quality defect on our part.
3. Warranty coverage will be immediately terminated, and we will bear no further after-sales liability, if damage occurs due to the customer’s unauthorized disassembly, modification, parts replacement, or engagement of a third party for repairs.
VII. Intellectual Property and Privacy Protection
1. All product design drawings, renderings, copy, images, videos, and custom plans on this site are our original intellectual property. Customers and third parties are prohibited from copying, reposting, using for commercial purposes, or modifying these materials without our written authorization; we will pursue legal action against any infringement.
2. We strictly protect private data—including customer personal information, floor plan dimensions, custom plans, and delivery details—using it solely for the production, shipping, and after-sales service of the specific order. Such data will never be disclosed to third parties or used for commercial purposes, and we comply with the Shopify platform's data security and privacy standards. VIII. Platform Rules and Legal Compliance
1. These terms comply with the transaction rules of the Shopify independent store platform, cross-border e-commerce transaction standards, and the consumer protection laws and regulations of the relevant jurisdictions. In the event of a conflict between these terms and the platform's mandatory rules, the platform's official rules shall prevail.
2. Disputes arising from transactions between the parties shall primarily be resolved through amicable negotiation; if negotiation fails, the judicial authorities in the jurisdiction where we are registered shall serve as the dispute resolution body.
IX. Updates to Terms and Right of Final Interpretation
We reserve the right to amend these Terms of Service at any time due to business adjustments, updates to platform rules, or changes in industry standards. Amendments will be posted on the independent store's website and become effective immediately upon posting; continued use of the site's services by the customer constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
We reserve the right of final interpretation regarding these Terms of Service for this high-end custom furniture independent store.
